Elan App Name & Icon Change

In the past couple days, the name and icon for the Elan 8 app has changed. It’s new name is now “Nice/Elan Viewer.”

If after the name change you can no longer find the app on your phone, you should use the search function. Search for “Elan.”

For Apple Devices:

  1. Go to the Home Screen, then swipe left past all your Home Screen pages to get to App Library.

  2. Tap the search field at the top of the screen, then enter the name of the app you’re looking for. Or scroll up and down to browse the alphabetical list.

  3. To open an app, tap it.

If a category has a few small app icons, you can tap them to expand the category and see all the apps in it.

For Android Devices:

Swipe up from the bottom of your screen to the top of your screen, then start entering text in the search bar. Or, if you have the 3 buttonson the bottom of your screen for “apps, home, and back” simply select the apps button (three vertical lines) and start typing into the search bar.

To download the app:

If the app is completely missing you can download it from the app store.

For Apple you can use this link.

For android you can use this link.

If you already have the app, it will offer you to update or open the app depending on your current version.

Future Changes:

It is likely that the name “Elan” will be dropped from the app entirely. “Nice” has been the owner the brand family for a while, and is slowly rebranding Elan, Speakercraft, and Panamax to become “Nice.”

As these changes evolve I will keep you updated.

Since Elan changed to Nice I could not open the app and can not operate my Elan system.
I was calling and writing for over four month with no reply from your side.
    Maybe this will work.
If don’t hear from you by Nov 9 I will publish my situation on SM as well as on yours.
    Awaiting your reply,
