A/V Tech Position

Job Details:

We are looking for an A/V tech that can work independently to service new and existing clients. Our company is small, consisting only of myself working full time, and my wife working part time.

The compensation package and hours are as follows

• $45/Hour – While on a jobsite
• $10/Hour – While on call or driving
• Minimum of $1100/Week Guaranteed
• 15% Commission for outside sales
• M-F 7:30-3:30 (flexible)
• A few Sat/Sun in exchange for another day off
• Work truck provided
• Specialty tools provided
• 10 PTO/Sick Days per year ($250/ea)
• 7 Paid holidays per year ($250/ea)

Paperwork Requirements

• Authorized to work in United States
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving history (insurance related)
• Criminal background check is felony free

Work Expectations

• Manage projects as they progress through construction. Includes identifying material required and managing constraints.
• Track progress of trouble calls from complaint to resolution
• Collaboration via line of business apps including Specifi, Zoho Desk, and Microsoft Teams.
• Punctual, while mentally and physically prepared for each day.
• Actively learn how to use the systems we install, including Lutron Radio RA3, Elan Home Systems, and Lutron HomeWorks.
• Generally being a team player while we all work towards a common goal.

We have no office or any storage, so the applicant must be able to receive deliveries and store a reasonable amount of equipment at home. One storage rack should be sufficient, and the company can provide one.

Our work area is wide, and includes Chicago, Naperville, Barrington, and Lake Forest. There is a lot of driving involved, but a company van and credit card for gas is provided.

The job is mostly service, but with some large remodels and new construction here/there.
